Event Description
Two years ago, the duo Peach & Quiet, consisting of Jonny Miller and Heather Read, emerged from their West Coast log home with their debut album, Just Beyond the Shine. The album quickly topped folk and roots charts in North America and gained international airplay. Critics praised its originality and named it BBC Scotland's Record of the Week.
Their second album, Beautiful Thing, released in early 2023, blends Americana, blues, rock, and 1970s psychedelic influences. Produced by Steve Dawson, it features renowned musicians Jeremy Holmes, Gary Craig, and Chris Gestrin.
Since meeting in 2019, Jonny and Heather's musical and emotional connection has flourished, with Heather's clear alto complementing Jonny's gritty voice. Beautiful Thing is their testament to hope, courage, and gratitude in challenging times, affirming that life is indeed "a beautiful thing".
