About

Harold T. Gnat

circa 70s
Mike Balfe, who drummed for Harry The Gnat(as I recall the name to be at one point)
had played with City Blues in Calif. and it's "Victoria" incarnation.
He also designed posters for that band and Blues Union, Among them is the well known "professional looking" Taj Mahal poster which was used by both versions of Blues Union as a stock poster for various gigs.
It was used, once again, for the Blues Union reunion gig at Mother's in 1980.

Mike was, like Bob Lesher, raised in Fullerton, Calif. and traveled to Victoria with bassist Bill Burdick so that City Blues could continue in Victoria, which was considered a pretty crazy
reason top move move to another country in those days. -Bob Lesher
