Event Description
The best things about community radio stations is the diversity of music without endless commercials. Because no one tells these DJs what to play so when you listen, you are guaranteed to hear something you've never heard before. But since it's not commercial radio, this also means the radio station needs our help to maintain and upgrade equipment, etc. Show your love and come down to this by donation event, with music, performance art and a by donation garage sale.

I remember searching through the radio when I was 10 or so and I found CFUV, heard the Dead's 'Friend of the Devil' for the first time and it expanded my musical horizons. I became addicted to this radio station, that kept playing music I couldn't find anywhere else. When I was a teenager, my very first radio show was here at CFUV, which started a life long passion for DJing on the radio. CFUV, I owe you a lot...and it's an honor to give back to you by hostessing this fundraiser. There are some open slots for DJs and CFUV DJs who want to contribute as well. My work has donated storage lockers for storing items for the garage sale as well, if you want to donate items. SO. MUCH. LOVE!
